Turkish Delight is a sweet treat enjoyed all around the world for centuries. This unique dessert has a rich history and cultural significance. It is also known as Lokum, an Arabic word meaning 'morsel' or 'little bite'.
Legend has it that the name 'Turkish Delight' was given by a British traveler who discovered it during his travels to Istanbul. He found the confection so delightful that he brought it back to England and shared it with his friends.
Today, we are following in his footsteps.

What is Turkish delight made of?
Turkish delight is traditionally made from four simple ingredients: sugar, corn starch, water, and citric acid. At Marsel Delights, we don’t use artificial aromas or colorings — instead, we add natural flavors like fruits and nuts. Unlike some recipes that use gelatin, we rely solely on corn starch, making our lokums extra soft, chewy, and completely plant-based.
Our sugar policy:
At Marsel, we pay great attention to how much sugar we use. Our recipes contain less sugar than traditional Turkish delight, focusing instead on achieving a balanced sweetness that complements — rather than overwhelms — the natural flavors of each lokum.
